Poiché la 17.04 non è più supportata, ho deciso di eseguire l'aggiornamento alla 17.10 ma ho riscontrato i seguenti errori che non sono riuscito a risolvere:

Per prima cosa ripareremo i tuoi repository:
sudo sed -i -re 's/([a-z]{2}\.)?archive.ubuntu.com|security.ubuntu.com/old-releases.ubuntu.com/g' /etc/apt/sources.list
Questo dovrebbe modificare il tuo /etc/apt/sources.list in modo che assomigli a questo :
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/zesty-updates main
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/zesty-backports main
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu zesty-security main
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu vivace universo principale multiverso limitato
Quindi esegui :
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Infine, esegui :
sudo do-release-upgrade
