So che questo è un bug noto e ci sono più domande sullo stesso errore, ma sfortunatamente nessuna delle risposte ha aiutato a risolvere il mio problema.

Vengo da un'installazione pulita di Ubuntu 14.04.05 Desktop a 64 bit. Ho eseguito l'installazione pulita con l'opzione "Cancellazione del disco e installazione di Ubuntu" ma non importa quante volte ho provato a pulire l'installazione di Ubuntu (attualmente 3 volte), ogni volta che accedo al sistema e provo a eseguire sudo apt-get update e poi sudo apt-get upgrade Ottengo il seguente errore:

Poche note:

• Ho provato a installare Ubuntu con installazione pulita più volte, ho anche provato con diverse chiavette USB (quindi la chiavetta USB non è danneggiata) e ho provato a installare Ubuntu su un altro computer con la stessa chiavetta e ha funzionato.
• Sospetto che il problema riguardi il mio file system (o anche Grub?) in qualche modo.
• Non è la prima volta che ho Ubuntu 14.04 installato su questo computer, in passato non ho avuto problemi del genere con questo computer.
• Finora ho provato le seguenti soluzioni:
  • Errore durante l'elaborazione del pacchetto firmato con shim
  • dpkg:errore durante l'elaborazione del pacchetto firmato con shim
  • Errori durante l'aggiornamento dal 17.10 al 18.04 (firmato shim e firmato grub-efi-amd64)

Controlla la presenza di difetti sul disco

Ho riavviato il sistema con la chiavetta USB live e ho scelto l'opzione "per verificare la presenza di difetti nel disco" ha funzionato per un po' e diceva che c'era un errore in 1 dei file o qualcosa del genere, non diceva quale file e qual era l'errore e mi ha chiesto di riavviare. Riavvio ma il problema persiste.

grub-install e update-grub

Ora ho eseguito sudo grub-install seguito da sudo update-grub l'output è il seguente:

$ sudo grub-install

Dopo aver riavviato il sistema, ancora niente!

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get -f install

Questo risolverà il problema.
