quando scrivo crontab -e comando nel terminale,
Ottengo questo messaggio di errore:

Non so cosa significhi "888"?

Il tuo crontab l'editor è stato cambiato in ed . Per uscire da ed , premi Q e successivamente Invio . Questo uscirà da ed editore.
Se desideri modificare il tuo crontab editor torna a nano usa:
sudo select-editor
Anche questo potrebbe essere utile:
EDITOR=nano crontab -e
