Come si esegue `less` e si esegue automaticamente un modello di ricerca?

Puoi usare + per inviare comandi arbitrari. Ad esempio:

less +/pattern

-p PATTERN (come postato da nik) è equivalente a +/PATTERN .

Dal man pagina:

   -ppattern or --pattern=pattern
          The  -p  option  on the command line is equivalent to specifying
          +/pattern; that is, it tells less to start at the  first  occur-
          rence of pattern in the file.

Funziona come previsto utilizzando l'ultima versione di less (436 ).

Intendi come?

less -p PATTERN nome file
