L'output fittizio viene visualizzato in Impostazioni -> Suono in Ubuntu 18.04.
Ho provato:

Non fa niente. Non so cos'altro provare.

Noterò inoltre:quando utilizzo la scheda audio USB, non funziona all'avvio, non viene visualizzata affatto. Quando lo disconnetto e lo ricollego, inizia a funzionare. Come posso stabilire quale applicazione acquisisce le schede audio?

Volevo solo aggiungere a questo, ho seguito istruzioni simili per far funzionare brevemente il suono dopo un riavvio con un Dell XPS 13 con Ubuntu cosmic (18.10). Il passaggio da "auto" a "generico" non è cambiato molto
sudo alsa force-reload
ha funzionato per me.
